The Office of Energy Infrastructure Safety (Energy Safety) is responsible for reviewing electrical corporations' Wildfire Mitigation Plans and ensuring compliance with Public Utilities Code sections 8386 and following. It develops safety performance metrics, conducts safety culture assessments, and issues safety certifications as per section 8389. Annually, in collaboration with the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), Energy Safety conducts safety culture assessments (SCA) to evaluate and promote a strong safety culture in wildfire mitigation efforts within electrical corporations.
Mandatory Qualifications:
A minimum of three (3) years of experience in managing teams and/or programs with direct relevance to hazard mitigation, safety performance metrics, safety culture, and the electrical utility sector.
